Primary Program
Montessori School of San Diego offers three primary classrooms for children ages 3-6. The classrooms have Montessori materials designed to fit individual children's needs to create meaningful learning experiences that maximize each child's ability. Content learning includes social interaction, practical life, sensorial areas, language, math, botany, zoology, history, geography, music, and art. These layered strands of curriculum build progressively as a student advances through the Montessori educational levels.

Patti Johnson
Miss Patti has been teaching at MSSD since 1989 and has enjoyed working with Miss Biljana for over 18 years! Miss Patti’s two children also attended the school.
Lead Teacher
Karen Wincek
Miss Karen was the director and head teacher at the Coronado Sandpiper Montessori School for 20 years before joining the Montessori School of San Diego at Mission Hills. Miss Karen has been teaching at MSSD since 2018.

Biljana Monteleone
Miss Biljana has been teaching in with Miss Patti since 2004. She loves this age group and seeing the children grow over time at their own pace.

Miss Rizelle began as a roving and aftercare teacher at The Montessori School of San Diego and got promoted to assistant teacher in 2023.
